Our story begins in 1998, before the Internet Era. Those were the days when getting seeds was harder than finding a non-alcoholic beer that actually tasted like beer.

But coincidentally, some African seeds also ended up in our hands.

A good friend brought them back from a honeymoon safari. A great gesture on his part. Besides taking care of the animals and his wife, he still found time to trade with the locals for some buds and half a handful of seeds.

In exchange for what? Who knows. He’s always refused to give us an answer.

The fact is, we decided to grow them for the same reason anyone who can decides to grow: QUALITY AND PRICE.

That's just how it is.

If you want quality in what you smoke, grow it yourself. And if you don’t want to spend a fortune, that’s another reason too.

The thing is, those seeds were the beginning of it all. From that day on, we gathered many more through our own travels and those of friends. Seeds from Colombia 🇨🇴, Mexico 🇲🇽, Jamaica 🇯🇲, Thailand 🇹🇭, Africa 🌍, India 🇮🇳…

But that was actually the easy part.

The hard part was spending over 20 years playing Mendel, always searching for the fastest phenotypes in every breeding and cross. What we’ve always aimed for—considering we’re from Galicia, where summers are shorter than a hobbit’s legs—are plants that can be harvested before October so they don’t get ruined by mold.

And of course, we also look for buds we actually like. Would you spend 20 years with someone you don’t like?
